Today, I am delighted to announce my candidacy for NH Executive Council in District 3. As an oncology nurse practitioner, educator and mother of four, I am ready for a government that looks out for the health of our families and communities. For over 20 years, I worked in the Cancer Center at St. Joseph Hospital. I taught at Saint Anselm College and Umass-Boston before moving to my role as Chief Clinical Officer at ONS.
I always enjoyed ONS Capitol Hill Days. It inspired me to run now, during a time when costs are rising daily and services are being dropped - those very services that support our most vulnerable people. I will be strong advocate for quality education for our children and a protector of our freedoms. The Executive Council makes decisions that effect our daily lives and oversees all large contracts. In fact, 44% of the NH budget is health and human services.
I hope my fellow oncology nurses will support my campaign to advocate for the needs of NH citizens at the state level. I welcome any discussions and stories about what you have been seeing in your practice about people with cancer being effected by these budget cuts.
