ONS has been invited to organize a nursing session in collaboration with the Singapore Oncology Nursing Society during the 9th Asia-Pacific Breast Cancer Summit (APBCS), to be held March 13-15, 2020 in Singapore. For more information, go to https://apbcs.org/.
2000+ health care providers (mostly physicians and nurses) from Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region attend APBCS.
We are looking for one ONS member to help develop and co-present with Singapore faculty a 5-hour nursing session. Program topics are to be determined and will be based on local/regional needs. The nursing session will be held March 14 and we anticipate attendance of 200 nurses with varying levels of experience. ONS has organized a similar session at APBCS in 2018.
Requirements:
- Breast cancer expertise
- Proven ability to teach nurses and other healthcare professionals with an effective, positive, and flexible teaching style
- Willing to meet deadlines, and independently plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate presentations
- Must be adaptable and possess cultural humility
- Ability to be abroad for 4-5 days
- Passport with six months remaining validity or more at time of entry
- Must be an ONS member in good standing.
ONS/organizers will pay for economy airfare, 4-night accommodation, most food and beverage expenses and a modest honorarium.
