The NEWONS organization is committed to lifelong education. We encourage and invite prospective nurses into the world of oncology nursing.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Scholarships available:
□ Membership Scholarship (cost of one (first) year ONS/NEWONS membership).
□ Education Scholarship for BSN/MSN/APN/PhD (Fulltime enrollment: $1,000 granted per semester for undergraduate degrees and $2,000 per semester for graduate level and above; Part time enrollment: $500 granted per semester for undergraduate degrees and $1,000 per semester for graduate level and above ). Paid directly to Bursar’s Office. After initial application approval, proof of enrollment is required for subsequent semesters.
□ ONS Congress Registration/Travel Grant ($3000 per person). Applications must be received prior to early bird deadline each year.
□ ONS Bridge (cost of registration)
□ Initial Oncology Certification (submit receipt for reimbursement)
□ Registration fee for NEWONS sponsored conference for new attendees (one per year)
Qualifications:
□ Candidate must be a current NEWONS member
□ Candidate must be an active member by attending 3 NEWONS meetings within the previous 12 months (excludes scholarship for first year membership)

□ Completed application
□ Copy of ONS Membership Card
□ Completed W-9 (for grant > $600, will receive 1099 form at year-end. W-9 not required for payments to Bursar’s Office)
