Northeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (NEWONS) is an organization committed to the advancement of oncology nursing practice through education, communication, and research. We serve the oncology nurses that live in Northeastern Wisconsin in the counties of Brown, Calumet, Door, Florence, Forest, Kewanee, Langlade, Manitowoc, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, and Winnebago.

 Our vision is to lead the transformation of cancer care.
Our mission is to promote excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care.

2023 Goals


1. Increase nursing participation at NEWONS chapter events         

2. Attract and retain members

3. Increase use of technology to enhance participation

4. Increase Visibility of our chapter in the community

5. Leadership Development -- July timeframe

6. Send one chapter member to the DC Advocacy event – typically held in the Fall

7. Conduct Board Meetings 4 per year (Required)

8. Conduct member engagements 6 per year (4 educational)
