Northeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (NEWONS) is an organization committed to the advancement of oncology nursing practice through education, communication, and research. We serve the oncology nurses that live in Northeastern Wisconsin in the counties of Brown, Calumet, Door, Florence, Forest, Kewanee, Langlade, Manitowoc, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, and Winnebago.

 Our vision is to lead the transformation of cancer care.
Our mission is to promote excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care.

2025 Chapter Goals

1. Increase nursing participation at NEWONS chapter events.

2. Attract and retain members.

3. Giving back to the Oncology Nursing Foundation.

4. Community outreach opportunities 

5. Facilitate educational opportunities and ONCC certification connection

6. Conduct 4 board meetings.

7. Host 6 member engagement activities, with 4 of them focused on educational content.

8. Leadership Development goal to focus on onboarding new members before the completion of the current board member’s terms.
