Northeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (NEWONS) is an organization committed to the advancement of oncology nursing practice through education, communication, and research. We serve the oncology nurses that live in Northeastern Wisconsin in the counties of Brown, Calumet, Door, Florence, Forest, Kewanee, Langlade, Manitowoc, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, and Winnebago.

 Our vision is to lead the transformation of cancer care.
Our mission is to promote excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care.

2025 Chapter Goals

1. Increase nursing participation at NEWONS chapter events, aiming for at least 5 additional participants per event.

2. Attract and retain members by sending 4 members to the Congress.

3. Enhance the visibility of our chapter in the community by organizing at least 1 community event.

4. Facilitate attendance for chapter members at an advocacy event.

5. Conduct 4 board meetings.

6. Host 6 member engagement activities, with 4 of them focused on educational content.

7. Leadership Development goal to focus on onboarding new members before the completion of the current board member’s terms.
