RN Clinic Manager - Radiology Therapy - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union)


The Clinic Nurse Manager holds 24-hour accountability for the quality of patient care, efficiency of operations, and human resources management for area(s) assigned. They will strive to achieve the optimal patient experience in a cost-effective manner, while applying evidenced-based leadership and practice. The Manager is responsible for the provision of safe patient care, in a manner that is consistent with the professional standards and hospital policies. The Manager promotes a positive and professional environment; supervises charge nurses and front line staff; maintains a stable and productive staff; involves staff at all levels in Shared Governance and Magnet Forces; and makes data driven decisions. They will role model performance and behaviors that are consistent with the values of the organization, furthering its mission, vision and strategic plan.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pref Master's degree Degree in Nursing or in progress (strongly preferred) * Master’s Degree in Nursing may be in lieu-of Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Pref ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification required when eligibility criteria have been met.
  • Pref Oncology Certified Nurse - OCN (ONCC) OCN preferred.
  • Pref Radiation Oncology nurse certification preferred.


Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Req Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing) Valid California License.
  • Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
  • Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)

The ONN is cognizant of the psychosocial and financial impact that disease and hospitalization has on the patient and family and acts as an advocate to identify and obtain needed resources and support.

Across Stanford Healthcare we are committed to top of licensure practice for our APPs. In our Network, our APPs work independently alongside experienced physicians to collaborate and care for a medically complex patient population. We serve a wide range of patients from benign hematology to malignant hematology to a vast spectrum of solid tumor diagnoses. As APPs we provide a wide array of cancer care services for patients who are undergoing treatment for their cancer diagnosis in the form of sick calls, pre-treatment visits, return patient visits, survivorship care, some NPVs, and patients on clinical trials. We manage side effects and/or complications from their cancer or their treatment, perform procedures, provide supervision as well as direct care to patients who are in our infusion treatment area (ITA) by delivering urgent triage, management, and/or treatment of active issues happening in the ITA (e.g. infusion reaction, acute symptom management), provide access for patients who need urgent provider evaluation and ITA-resources, and supervision of radiology contrast-reactions.
