Healthy Nurse, Heathy Nation TM (HNHN) ANA Grand Challenge: ONS and YOU

Healthy Nurse, Heathy Nation TM Grand Challenge: ONS and YOU is a chapter meeting program custom designed by ONS staff using ANA HNHN resources to provide the following:

  • Introduction to the purpose of HNHN and the role of ONS as a champion.
  • Guided exploration of HNHN resources and benefits.
  • Member participation through completion of the Healthy Nurse Survey.
  • Open discussion of the challenges and opportunities related to improving the health and wellness of nurses.
The Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation Chapter Event is a self-contained presentation that runs approximately 1-1.5 hours. It can be plugged into any general chapter meeting, symposia, or vendor fair.

  • 5 Leadership Domains as outlined in the ONS Leadership Competencies
  • Discussion on individuals’ performance in the domains
  • Building confidence and connection to advance your leadership goals
  • Getting involved at the Chapter and National level
Suggested format: A chapter leader or member presents the 45-minute session, then the chapter could discuss it or engage live (virtually) with an LDC member to answer questions and discuss how to advance participants’ leadership journey
