The Congress content planning team is responsible for identifying and working with conference speakers on assigned session topics from the conference agenda. Volunteers in this role are expected to plan, implement, and evaluate educational offerings that address current practice issues identified by ONS and the needs of the target audience. Applications are reviewed by the Congress team leader, and telephone interviews are conducted for selection. Congress content planning team members must be an ONS member in good standing.
Time Commitment
Participants spend one year on the team, with the opportunity to reapply for a second year. There is also the potential to serve as team leader in your second or third year. The time commitment includes
- June 19 and 26, 2021: Virtual meeting (2 4.5 hour Zoom meetings)
- Monthly planning team phone meetings (1-2 hours each beginning in July 2021)
- January 22-23 or 29-30, 2022: Virtual Slide Review (Date and time to be finalized)
- ONS Congress 2022: April 27-May 1, 2022 Anaheim, CA
Travel
Participants spend 5–6 days at Congress, with registration, housing, and travel expenses covered by ONS.
