Description:

The Congress content planning team is responsible for identifying and working with conference speakers on assigned session topics from the conference agenda. Volunteers in this role are expected to plan, implement, and evaluate educational offerings that address current practice issues identified by ONS and the needs of the target audience. Applications are reviewed by the Congress team leader, and telephone interviews are conducted for final selection. Congress content planning team members must be an ONS member in good standing. 

 

Selected team members will be notified in March 2023.

Time Commitment

 

Participants spend one year on the team, with the opportunity to reapply for a second year. There is also the potential to serve as team leader in your second or third year. The time commitment includes:

 

June 10 and 11, 2023: 2-4.5 hour Virtual meetings

Monthly planning team Virtual meetings, 90 minutes duration, beginning in July 2023

January 20-21 or 27-28, 2024: Virtual Slide Review (Dates and times to be finalized after team selection)

Session development, 10–20 hours, working with speakers prior to the conference 

ONS Congress 2024: April 24-29, 2024, Washington, D.C.

 

Travel

 

Participants spend 6 days at Congress, with registration, housing, and travel expenses covered by ONS.
