The Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing (CJON) Writing Mentorship Program is looking for experienced authors to serve as mentors to novice writers. These mentors will guide their mentees through the writing and publishing process to produce an article for submission and publication consideration in CJON within a six-month period.
The program also provides the opportunity for more experienced writers to improve their mentorship skills by supporting mentees; during the six-month mentorship period, mentors will support their mentees by developing, drafting, and finalizing an original manuscript that advances the foundation of clinical oncology nursing.
Mentor candidates should have both publishing and mentorship experience, as well as be willing to agree to the terms and conditions of the mentor–mentee agreement (e.g., time outside of normal business hours for CJON Writing Mentorship Program work, mentorship of a minimum of one author per calendar year, open communication with mentee). Mentors and mentees will be matched by the CJON editor based on areas of expertise and/or proposed manuscript topic.
