Description:

We are developing a new online course called Safe Handling Basics. ONS is looking for 10 nurses who would be willing to pilot test, to go through the course and provide feedback on the time it takes to complete the course, as well as the functionality of the course. We are expecting the course to take less than an hour, and upon completion of the course and the evaluation, you would then receive free CNE once we establish the amount.

The Safe Handling Basics course is an introductory course that discusses hazardous drugs and how to handle them safely. It covers risks of exposure, controls used to prevent exposure (including appropriate use of PPE), spill cleanup, and appropriate waste disposal. The target audience is nurses and other staff who do not administer these drugs routinely (as those nurses would receive more in-depth education), but work in areas where hazardous drugs are handled or administered.
