ONS Seeking Editor for Site-Specific Cancer Series: Breast, Third Edition

ONS is in search of an editor for an upcoming publication – Site-Specific Cancer Series: Breast, Third Edition.

This publication will summarize the state of the disease site with respect to screening and prevention, incidence and trends, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and the impact of social determinants of health on care and outcomes. Editors will work with ONS staff to identify authors, provide instructions and guidance to authors, and edit received chapters. All chapters will undergo a double-blind peer review process prior to publication. Editors will assist authors in evaluating and incorporating peer review feedback on an as-needed basis.

The timeline for the work will be May 2025 – June 2026

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of the disease site
• Ability to complete literature reviews and synthesize data on topic
• Strong writing experience with publications in peer reviewed journals or books
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Education level: RN
