The Oncology Nursing Foundation is recruiting volunteers to review the 2026 ROCN™ Scholarship applications. In order to be eligible to review, you must hold a current ROCN certification.
The Oncology Nursing Foundation’s ROCN Scholarship, funded by the Oncology Nursing Foundation Endowment, supports registered oncology nurses who specialize in providing care for adult or pediatric patients with cancer undergoing radiation therapy by providing funding support to cover the ROCN™ Certification exam fee.
Recipients receive funding to cover the exam fee for the new ROCN Certification exam.
Below is the application timeline for the ROCN Scholarship:
Application Opens – August 14, 2026
Applications Due – October 15, 2026
Volunteers are asked to apply by September 15th. Eligible volunteers for this review will be notified by Monday, September 28th.
TIME COMMITMENT:
The ROCN Scholarship review period allows reviewers a little over two weeks to complete their assignments (final review scores will be due on July 18th).
Review Begins – Friday, October 16th
Review Scores Due – Friday, October 30th (due by 11:59pm Eastern Time)
Each reviewer will be assigned 3-7 applications, which can take from 10-15 minutes each to complete. The overall time commitment anticipated for this review is approximately 3.50 hours.

ONS members or non-members who have obtained the ROCN certification are invited to apply by logging into the ONS Communities and clicking the "Apply Now" button at the top of this page. Applications to participate in this review are due no later than September 15th.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must hold the ROCN certification.
