The Oncology Nursing Society is announcing an exciting opportunity to educate the next generation of nurse researchers in precision symptom science.
The Oncology Nursing Society announces an opportunity for nurse scientists to join a pilot study for a R25 June submission. The NIH/NCI R25 mechanism is a 5-year training grant that supports research education. This pilot will develop and evaluate the planned curriculum for an R25 grant, establishing a five-year program for oncology scientists in precision symptom science.
This 5-day hybrid, interactive, hands-on, workshop will provide education on precision symptom science and integrated mentoring to develop a research proposal.
Content will include: study design, analytic approaches, and considerations of biologic markers in precision symptom science.
After the 5-day workshop, participants, with the integrated mentorship of expert faculty, are expected to have a final draft of a grant application that will be submitted for funding. Ongoing mentorship will occur.
