2026 OCNN Practice Test Item Writing Workshop

ONCC is seeking 20 oncology nurse navigators to write items for the Oncology Certified Navigation Nurse (OCNN™) practice test. 

ONCC will host a virtual item writing workshop September 25 - September 26, 2026 where participants will be expected to create 25 unique items to develop the OCNN practice test. 

To be considered, you will need the following:

• A current, active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the U.S., its territories or Canada.
• A minimum of two years (24 months) of experience as an RN within the last four years (48 months).
• Job experience in oncology navigation and a current position as an Oncology Nurse Navigator

No prior experience as an item writer is required, but participants should have good writing skills, strong knowledge of the subject matter, and a willingness to learn. All workshop participants will receive training on how to write test items and access to reference materials. Participants are expected to complete both days of the item writing workshop.
