ONS Seeking Pilot Testers for ONS/ONCC Radiation Therapy Certificate Course

The ONS/ONCC Radiation Therapy Certificate Course has undergone maintenance to ensure clinical accuracy and reflect best practices.  The updates offer new and updated content related to radiation therapy, its administration, and care of the individuals receiving it. We are seeking nurses within the target audience, identified below, to pilot test this updated course.

TARGET AUDIENCE: 
Nurses who are interested in gaining additional qualification in radiation therapy.
NOTE: Nurses are not required to work in radiation oncology to be a pilot tester.

 WHAT WE ARE ASKING OF THE NCPD PILOT TESTERS

• Complete the course content, knowledge checkpoints, post-test, and evaluation during a 3-week period beginning Monday, October 23, 2023. 
• Provide a precise measure of the length of time to complete each lesson.
• We anticipate the course taking the same or slightly more than the current course, about 10 hours.

NCPD pilot testers who complete the course, pass the post-test with a score of at least 80% correct answers or better, and submit the pilot test form, and a completed evaluation earn the following:

• Free nursing contact hours (calculated by the average course completion time found in the pilot)
• Certificate of added qualification in radiation therapy
