The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and the Oncology Nursing Foundation (ONF) invite volunteers to apply to serve on the ONS & ONF Industry Advisory Panel.

The purpose of the Industry Advisory Panel is to advise the ONS and ONF Boards and staff on topics concerning innovative healthcare partnerships and amplifying the influence of oncology nursing in corporate and national discussions. Key areas for panel advisement include industry trends, strategic partnerships, insights on industry alignment, emerging challenges in oncology care, and contributing to growing ONS and ONF’s visibility and stakeholder engagement. Volunteers will provide focused feedback on specific questions to advise and make recommendations for consideration by ONS and ONF.

TIME COMMITMENT:

Volunteers are expected to commit to attending 2 – 3 virtual meetings per year and actively participate in discussions. Pre-read materials and meeting objectives will be provided prior to each meeting. Estimated time commitment is 12 hours per year. Standard term limits will be 1-2 years (2nd year upon invitation only).

Individuals do not have to hold ONS membership to apply.

VOLUNTEER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To ensure a rich and diverse panel that reflects the full landscape of oncology nursing support, we are specifically seeking oncology nurses currently working in industry.

Ideal backgrounds may include:

  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies
  • Diagnostics, digital health, data/AI, and technology innovators
  • Corporate philanthropy, grantmaking, or strategic community investment
  • Professional associations, consulting firms, or payer/provider organizations
  • Other fields committed to improving cancer care and nursing workforce sustainability

Selected participants will have the following responsibilities for the duration of their term limit:

  1. Attend and actively participate in meetings.
  2. Complete assigned pre-work, including reviewing materials, surveys, and providing feedback by deadlines.
  3. Share consultative input and experience-based insights on designated topics, staying within the panel’s scope.
  4. Respond to occasional outreach between meetings as needed.
