The Oncology Nursing Forum (Forum) invites manuscript submissions for an upcoming digital supplement dedicated to original research studies examining the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies in oncology care, research, and education. As AI innovations expand, there is a need for research to evaluate their impact on patient outcomes, clinical decision-making, health systems, and equity in cancer care. We welcome quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research focused on AI and digital innovation across the cancer continuum, including prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and palliative care.
Areas of focus include the following:
AI in treatment and clinical decision-making
- Clinical effectiveness of AI-driven treatment recommendations
- Impact of predictive analytics on treatment selection and outcomes
- AI tools in precision oncology and personalized medicine
Digital health in oncology care delivery
- Outcomes of tele-oncology, remote monitoring, and symptom management tools
- Digital interventions to improve adherence, symptom control, or quality of life
- Integration of AI into electronic health records and oncology workflows
Cancer survivorship and patient experience
- Digital platforms for survivorship care planning and follow-up
- AI-enabled symptom tracking and patient-reported outcomes
- Technology-driven interventions addressing quality of life and disparities
Manuscripts should adhere to the Forum’s author guidelines: https://www.ons.org/onf/authors.
All submissions should be submitted via Editorial Manager: https://www.editorialmanager.com/onf/default.aspx.
