The Oncology Nursing Foundation is recruiting volunteers to review the 2026 Executive Nurse Leadership Scholarship (previously titled the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program Scholarship) applications. In order to be eligible to review, you must currently hold a senior position in an executive leadership role.
The Oncology Nursing Foundation’s Executive Nurse Leadership Scholarship provides financial support to higher-level nurse-managers who are preparing for the role of chief nursing officer (CNO) to attend the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program, facilitated by the University of Pennsylvania.
Recipients are awarded up to $8,000 to help cover the registration fee. Applicants must already have been accepted into the program in order to be eligible to apply.
Below is the application timeline for the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program Scholarship:
Application Opens – June 15, 2026
Applications Due – August 15, 2026
Volunteers are asked to apply by July 24, 2026. Eligible volunteers for this review will be notified by July 27, 2026.
TIME COMMITMENT:
The Executive Nurse Leadership Scholarship review period allows reviewers a little over three weeks to complete their assignments (final review scores will be due on Friday, October 10th).
Review Begins – Monday, August 17th
Review Scores Due – Wednesday, September 9th (due by 11:59pm Eastern Time)
Each reviewer will be assigned 3 – 7 applications, which can take from 15-20 minutes each to complete. The overall time commitment anticipated for this review is approximately 3.50 hours.
