Research Update Team: Focus on Environmental influences on Cancer Care Outcomes

We’re looking for volunteers to join our Research Priority Update Team for the annual update, focused on environmental influences on cancer care outcomes (including cancer care disparities). This collaborative group will help review and summarize recent publications, articles, and grant submissions related to oncology nursing research priorities.

What to Expect:

• The team will kick off with a one-time virtual meeting via Teams to outline the project and divide the work.
• Each volunteer will review and summarize a small selection of articles or grant submissions.
• You’ll have six weeks to complete your review. 
• An estimated 4-6 hours are expected to read, review, discuss and finalize the summary statement. 
• After the reviews are complete, the team will meet again to finalize a summary statement.
• This final summary will be formulated by the Scholar-in-Residence and submitted for publication.

This is a great chance to contribute to the research conversation, collaborate with fellow ONS members, and gain experience summarizing important work in the field.
