Thank you to all who were able to attend our chapter's first ever Spring Learning Fair over the weekend. We had a great morning and are already looking ahead to planning for 2020!
Special congrats to our 6 members that were the lucky winners of the $200 ONS online educational reimbursement award! Maria Thompson, Michel Benz, Susan Wittren, Theresa Gannon, Sherry Looker and Ann Tyler!
Because these are the first reimbursement awards our chapter is awarding for the 2019 year, we want to highlight the changes that were made to the Chapter Handbook at the beginning of 2019 in regards to specific guidelines for reimbursement deadlines. The Chapter Handbook was reviewed and updated by the Chapter Board in January 2019. The Chapter Handbook is accessible to all members on our Chapter Community ONS Website.

ONS Scholarships for ONCC Certification Exam
- Available to cover application fees NOT paid by employers
- Up to $300 for initial certification
- Up to $500 for renewal
- Members must provide documentation confirming current National membership, and confirmation of successful certification/recertification to the Treasurer for reimbursement within 60 days of notification by ONCC. Reimbursement forms must be received no later than Dec. 10 of the year of renewal, whichever of these two dates comes first.
- Members must also provide documentation supporting active membership by attending a minimum of two SEMN ONS chapter events in a calendar year. Qualifying events include the Spring Learning fair, educational programs and/or community volunteer opportunities.
Conference Travel Allowance
- All funds will be reimbursement of actual expenses up to amount designated. Reimbursement for any scholarship award provided by the ONS SE MN Chapter will only be provided after completion of the activity and submission of relevant documentation. All documentation must be submitted according to the following timeline: Within 60 days of attendance and reimbursement forms received no later than December 10 of the year of attendance.
Chapter Member Online Education Scholarship Award.
- Reimbursement for any scholarship award provided by the ONS SE MN Chapter will only be provided after completion of the activity and submission of relevant documentation. All documentation (payment confirmation; receipts; proof of completion of activity, etc.) must be submitted according to the following timeline: Within 60 days of successful completion of course no later than December 10 of the year of completion.
