The 5th Annual Cancer Risk and Prevention Symposium , sponsored by the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, brings together multidisciplinary health care professionals to review advances in hereditary cancer risk assessment, genetic evaluation, and precision prevention. The 2026 program focuses on inherited cancer syndromes across solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, with sessions covering updates on Lynch syndrome, Li-Fraumeni syndrome, hereditary hematologic cancers, dermatologic clues to genetic risk, complex family history cases, and practical guidance on breast imaging, screening selection, and legal considerations related to genetic testing. Expert-led, case-based discussions and patient perspectives highlight strategies to translate genetic risk information into coordinated, equitable, and patient-centered prevention and screening practices.
