We are pleased to announce HCONS will be offering ten (10) scholarships to TNA’s 2025 Nurse Day at the Capitol: Caring for Texas. This advocacy event will be held March 3-4, 2025 in Austin, TX. This half-day live CNE event will include an overview of the current public health landscape in Texas, the nurse’s role in health policy, the nursing legislative agenda, and a legislative panel. This will be followed by a day full of visits with individual legislators to discuss nursing bills proposed for the 89th Texas legislative session. Interested members need to submit one paragraph about why you would like to attend and how you will share the knowledge gained with others. The application process opens today and will close on October 18, 2024. Awards will be paid when original expense receipts (not reimbursed from another entity) are received up to a maximum of $400. Members may receive this Advocacy Scholarship award only once. Apply here!
