Scholarships

This scholarship is to assist ECFONS members to attend Congress and bring back this vital knowledge and share. This scholarship is NOT meant to pay for the entire cost of Congress attendance. Scholarship funds can be used towards meeting registration fees, transportation, airport parking, and hotel. Receipts are required for reimbursement.

• Current Chapter President will have the first option to receive a maximum of $2,000.00 scholarship to attend. If unable to attend, another eligible board member approved by the Board will receive the scholarship in 2026.
• One (1) additional scholarship maximum of $1,500.00 each will also be available for eligible member in 2026.
• Not eligible if receiving FULL or significant reimbursement from employer or other source (i.e., ONS Foundation Congress Scholarship) for Congress attendance.

ONS Congress Scholarships are available only to members in good standing of both National ONS and ECFONS Chapter. Scholarships will be awarded on a point system. Five (5) Points will be awarded for each category: meeting attendance, ONS activities, community service activities, oncology related leadership or projects completed in your professional / work setting.

The scholarship is intended to provide financial support to healthcare workers in meeting their educational goals and professional development. The scholarship will be awarded as reimbursement for a One Year ONS National Membership plus Local Membership with East Central Florida ONS Chapter. 

• Student Membership - Full-time nursing students in a pre-licensure program working towards RN (FREE).
• Four (4) Half Scholarships will be provided to New Members in 2026
• Eligible ECFONS Board member or Committee Chair or member

Eligibility for New and Renewing Membership Scholarship:

• All - healthcare professionals eligible for ONS Membership and ECFONS local Chapter membership
• All – start date of membership or renewal on January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026
• New Member of National ONS and ECFONS local Chapter Membership
• Not eligible if employer covers cost of National ONS and ECFONS local Chapter Membership

• Active member of ONS National
• Active member of ECFONS (Applicant must have attended two (2) ECFONS events over the past 12 months). (This can include voting in chapter election, participating in membership survey, attending meetings, board/ committee participation or other National ONS or chapter activities).
