Collaborate to support and assist in the development of the unit based and housewide RN Residency Program. Collaborate and support in the development of support staff training and development programs. Develops a unit based education plan for assigned area (s) of responsibility. Ensure nursing practice is based on evidence of best practice. Ensure best practice information is discussed at multidisciplinary meetings for maximum input and decision making. Supports and embraces the concept of shared governance. Utilizes this approach in daily work routines. Participates in department level and division level performance improvement plans and processes. Works with Nurse Manager and /or Nurse Director to identify and resolve continuity of care issues. Demonstrates a high degree of clinical competence and expertise in assigned areas (s) of responsibility. Provides constructive, sensitive, and timely feedback to others concerning their clinical and administrative performance in verbal and written form. Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, and co-workers.
