We've been invited to participate in the "2024 Nursing Summit, The Future of Nursing in Texas: Stakeholders Moving Towards Alignment", that is being held April 22 - 23, 2024 at the University of Texas, Commons Conference Center in Austin, TX.
The purpose of this event is to provide an environment for nurses in academia and practice to engage in conversations that help to create innovative opportunities to increase quality education, that produces competent graduates that transition into safe practice, while embracing a changing nursing environment.
The Summit will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024, and from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Between the two days, there will be various presenters and panels that will discuss topics to inform conversations between registrants who will participate in a World Café meeting format. For the World Café position of the Summit, there will be 24 tables set up, each with its own topic and set of questions to promote forward-thinking conversations. Each registrant will participate in six (6) rounds of discussions over the two-day period. Continuing Nurse Education hours will be awarded for this event.
The registration fee for the summit is $100. (Our quarterly scholarship would be able to reimburse you for this cost.)
Four (4) individuals from CTONS have the opportunity to attend. If you are interested and able to attend both days of the Summit, please reach out to me by 3/1/2024.
