Hey Chapter Members!  

The Board has decided to reward your RSVP and attendance at April and May dinner events with a raffle drawing for a gift certificate.  More details as to what and how much the gift certificate is for will be disclosed at the next dinner event.

Each event  you attend will give you one entry into the raffle.

The drawing will take place at the final dinner event in May.

Very important, both I and the treasurer are in our last year.  As per ONS rules and regulations, Presidents and Treasurers can only serve for two years.

We are looking for anyone that would like to be President and Treasurer next year.  It would be great if we can have them now so that they can work alongside of us for the rest of this year.

Please let us know if you are interested.  We need these two positions to continue as a chapter next year.

Kick off National Hospice and Palliative Care Awareness Month this November by advocating in support of the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act ([PCHETA], S. 2243). PCHETA was reintroduced in the U.S. Senate for the 118th Congress on July 11, 2023, but we still need your help to build bipartisan support for the bill.  

ONS member oncology nurse advocates were instrumental in securing the bill’s 14 original Senate cosponsors to support its reintroduction. Now, you and your chapter can help build bipartisan support for the bill by contacting you U.S. Senators and urging them to cosponsor PCHETA. 

Send a pre-written email to your senator asking them to support this important legislation and advocate for cancer care.  

Please speak out and speak up!

Wanted to say thanks to all who came out for the Vendor Fair.  We had a great turn-out and some of you won some great gifts (like $100 to Buono Sera)!

Please invite your Healthcare Worker Friends to the Vendor Fair on the 19th.   

We have several Gift Baskets, AS WELL AS at least 12 gift certificates for restaurants, including a $100 gift certificate for La Mondina, and many other $50 gift certificates for other restaurants as well.

I am so happy to share that we will have 1CE available at 6pm at the Vendor Fair.  Don't forget we will also have a TON of raffle prizes including high end restaurant gift certificates, but you have to come to gets your raffle tickets!
