“ DOGS HEAL”
Doylestown Hospital Pet Therapy Program
Doylestown Hospital has many wonderful caregivers, some of whom have four legs. Founded in 1989, the Doylestown Hospital Animal Assisted Activity program – Dogs Heal – now has twenty therapy dogs that visit patients, visitors, and staff in infusion therapy, Penn Radiation Oncology, adult and pediatric inpatient rooms, and waiting areas.
Requested Items for Donation:
Dog treats
Collapsible water bowl
Lint brush (humans can use to remove fur)
Dog comb
Baby brush (the kind with very soft bristles made for human babies) that young patients and visits could use to “groom” a therapy dog
Holiday scarf or bow (patriotic, Christmas, Easter), or Halloween costume that could be worn by a dog during hospital visits
