  • Community Outreach February 2019

Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, supporting children through and beyond their parent's cancer. Camp Kesem provides free summer camps to children impacted by a parent’s cancer.  The first camp took place at Stanford University 18 years ago and has spread to 116 other universities across this country. Collectively, our organization ended this summer having served 8,984 kids!

As we move into Camp Kesem at Rowan University's fourth year of operation we expect to serve 35 children within the Tri-state. Our budget is $30,000 which we fundraise ourselves. Most of our budget goes to renting a campsite, meals, and transportation to and from camp for campers. A supply drive would help us immensely as it saves us the added expense of odds and ends.
