We’re gearing up for the 2025 SFBAONS Board Elections, and this is your chance to help shape the future of our chapter!

Elected Positions Open:

1) President-Elect

- New! Two-year term: 2026 as President-Elect, and in 2027 serving as President 

- Previous ONS chapter board or leadership experience preferred 

2) Treasurer

- Handles the finances of the chapter

3) Secretary

- Serves as the communications champion

4) Director-at-Large: OCU Planning (2-positions)

- Plans our biggest event of the year!

5) President

- 1-year term: 2026 only - must have prior SFBAONS board experience

Interested in an Appointed Position Instead?

There's also some appointed board positions! 

Education & Programming Chairs (2): Coordinating speakers for chapter events & CE applications  

Sponsor Chair: Communicating with industry partners

Legislative Chair: Organizing chapter representation at Capitol Hill Days

Other positions: Mentorship Chair, Membership Chair, or your great idea!

About the Board:

- Term: January 2025 – December 2026

- Meetings: At least 4 per year (typically every 2–3 months, with additional planning around Oncology Care Update [OCU])

- Eligibility: Must be a current ONS member

- Perks:

- Chapter covers ONS membership dues during your term

It's almost time for SFBAONS board elections! Below you will find general information about the board and terms. We plan to have election ballots sent on December 17th. While many current board members have expressed interest in remaining on the board this upcoming year, we’re most excited to find our new Chapter President.

About the Board in general:

• The term is 1 year, January 2025-2026.  

• The board is required to meet at least 4 times per year- usually every 2-3 months, more frequently around Oncology Care Updates.  

• You must be an ONS member to be on the board. 

• Our chapter pays board members' ONS dues during the year term. Members currently serving as board members have the opportunity for educational scholarship, subject to annual budget approval.
