As announced at our June meeting, PACONS will be holding a special election in September for President Elect. If interested, please email Eleanor Miller by August 30th (Eleanor.miller2@pennmedicine.upenn.edu). You will be mentored through November of this year, taking over as president in December. Please see below for more details on the role.
The President-Elect is responsible for:
- Actively observe and learn the role of the president
- Assume the role of the president in the following situations:
- Inability of the president to act
- Resignation of the president
- Expiration of the president's term
- Attend meetings of the chapter standing committees as delegated by the president (if applicable)
- Consult with the president throughout the term of office to provide for continuity and smooth transition of the chapter leadership
- Perform other responsibilities designated by the chapter board of directors or ONS National
General PACONS Board Member Responsibilities:
- Attend 75% of Chapter Meetings
- Attend 3/4 of Board Meetings
- Still responsible for paying monthly dues
- Fulfill duties of individual role
As a benefit of serving on the board:
- PACONS will pay for national membership (and associated Chapter), reimbursed when renewed
- Opportunity to represent PACONS at ONS Leadership Weekend
