The ONS Board of Directors is a diverse group of oncology nurse professionals who serve a three-year term and meet monthly to guide the Society’s strategic direction so that ONS can best influence oncology nursing and the care of patients with cancer. Together, they represent decades of experience in oncology nursing clinical care, education, research, and leadership.
The Leadership Succession Committee (LSC)identifies, vets, and selects individuals with the breadth and depth of ONS organizational knowledge and governance experience necessary to serve on the Board. Each year, in addition to the foundational set of qualities and skills, the LSC identifies and seeks specific needs in interested applicants to ensure a well-rounded Board of Directors for the upcoming term.

The LSC will review all NOI submissions and contact those who best meet the needs and qualifications of the upcoming Board to invite them to submit a full application. Learn more about the ONS Board selection process and position requirements.
