We do not have a sperate staffing ratio for CAR-T. So on days our nurses 3-4 patients (only one of those patients should be CAR-T) on night 4-5 patients (again try to have only one CAR-T). We have been trials with CAR-T since the start and have many different tumor types that we are treating including solid tumors and blood cancers.
If you would like to talk more, please let me know. I am always happy to talk to another CNS.

Subject: CAR-T staffing Ratios
At Henry Ford Hospital we have been taking care of CAR-T patients for about 4 years (started before I joined the team) and we want to update the protocols now that we are seeing even more of these patients. The question we are wondering is what does other inpatient units use as a staff ratio for a Medical/Surgical unit or General Practice Unit for an assessment with a CAR-T patient?
