Purpose: Assist GVONS members financially with education opportunities
Who: Any ONS members – THIS is a requirement to apply for a scholarship – we have been lenient with this in the past but going forward due to financial restrictions we will no longer accept scholarship applications from non-members
Availability: Budgeted funding available annually; up to $500. Applications accepted on a rolling basis and provided quarterly.
Criteria:
● Funds awarded must be used for educational purposes associated with oncology nursing.
● A member may request a scholarship more than once a year, but priority will be given to those who have not requested before in that year.
● Individuals must be members of ONS; priority will be given to those who are members of the GVONS community.
Process:
● Submit scholarship application.
● Please note on application if scholarship is for Early Bird ONS Congress registration.
● Include program flyer/brochure if available with application.
● Notification of award will be made via telephone or email to recipient from a Director at Large
● Funds will be released after proof of expenditure and summary of the event and how it benefitted the recipient’s oncology nursing practice are provided.
● Please note, if the total amount of the request cannot be awarded, the applicant will be notified to see if another amount will satisfy the request.
