Face shield

I thought that I had read somewhere that a face shield is required when administering any chemo meds above eye level in regards to the USP 800 standards. Now I cannot find any info that states such. We administer a lot of our HD meds via infusion pump and hang it above our eye level.
Would this warrant a face shield in these instances?
Can someone tell me if that is the case?

    Hi Lisa
Understand the confusion but that's not the intent. It means if you were manipulating items (connection, disconnecting, etc.) at that height. It does not reflect the height of the pump (or the fact that  IV hooks are taller than most nurses' eyes) especially those of us who are vertically challenged!

So no. Not required in your example.
