For those giving rituximab in the inpatient setting for new diagnosis with it being the first time the drug is being administered. What is your patient assignment ? is it a 1:1 ratio incase the patient has a reaction, do you have a policy to support that at your facility? Also not sure where to located the information but does ONS recommend a 1:1 for first time?
Thanks in advance for the responses!

    Hello Justin,
I know your question was since June.
Anyway. in our facility we don't put a 1:1 ratio for Ritux administration. However, the primary nurse who take care of this patient will stay with the patient for the who infusion time if this is the first cycle, and will handover the other patients to the other colleagues. might be not the ideal way, but this is what we practice.

For patients receiving Rituxan for the first time (and then for pts who have previously reacted ) our inpatient oncology unit has a 1:1 ratio. Our infusion area may not have the 1:1 but 1:2. I hope this helps
