    Hello all,
I have been posed with a administrative question.
Is post Keytruda infusion with  decadron a norm in infusion practices to prevent the possibility of a delayed adverse event.
Merck central office is reaching out to their senior medical sciences offices for EBP.
Curious if this is a common practice not yet studied.
    thank you, Victoria

    Hello Colleagues,

it it is my understanding that steroids are actually not recommended with immunotherapy as it would slow the effects of the drug as immunotherapy empowers the immune system to combat and kill cancer cells.  By giving steroids you would suppress this response of the body's immune system empowerment therefore  negating the immunotherapy drug's effectiveness.

I am very interested in knowing what the drug company's response is to this inquiry.
