Valstar/Bladder installation chemo

If anyone would be willing to share their process with bladder installation of chemotherapy.....If you read any p&p on it, most mention methods and equipment of administration that our supply chain staff are unable to locate to allow for an entirely closed system of adminstration.

Our discussion started because we've had no issues in the past, but now when we attempt to unclamp and drain the bladder of those patients who cannot hold the drug for 2 hours, we're having issues reconnecting the drainage bag to the foley, causing a chemo exposure.

We use multiple parts for this to be a "closed" system. I have included pics that we used when writing a procedure but don't have the packaging anymore, sorry. But they are easily googled if you search for luer lock to urethra tip adapters. The CSD used is the Phaseal, but I believe others work also. Hope this helps
