Hello Bucks Montgomery Chapter Members,
Does your experience in oncology nursing support the Oncology Nursing Society's (ONS's) mission and values? Are you seeking a professional growth opportunity in a leadership position? If so, consider serving as a director at large on the ONS Board of Directors from 2024–2027.
The ONS Board of Directors is a diverse group of professionals who serve a three-year term and meet monthly to guide the Society's strategic direction. Together, they represent decades of experience in oncology nursing clinical care, education, research, and leadership.
The Leadership Development Committee works to identify, vet, and select individuals with the breadth and depth of ONS organizational knowledge and governance experience necessary to serve on the Board.
All applicants are considered based on their skills, qualities, and experience. Some of the needs of the Board to be considered for this year's term are:
- Firsthand knowledge of current clinical oncology care issues and experience influencing nursing practice.
- Experience in a non-traditional role.
- Strong advocacy/policy background and experience.
- A diverse background and skill set to complement the existing Board.
Do your skills and experience align with some of these qualities? Learn more about the ONS Board leadership process and position requirements and complete the notification of intent preapplication online by Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
After you submit your notification of intent, a member of the ONS Leadership Development Committee will contact you to discuss the next steps.
